U2 tour manager Dennis Sheehan was found dead in his hotel room in Los Angeles earlier today. Reports indicate that Sheehan, who was in his late 60’s, was found unconscious in his room at the Sunset Marquis Hotel.

Details about cause of death and otherwise remain unclear as this story is developing. Paramedics were called into Sheehan’s room for an apparent cardiac arrest at around 5:30 AM. TMZ first broke the news, which took place just one night after U2 kicked off a five-night residency at The Forum in Los Angeles.

Sheehan has been involved with the rock and roll scene since the 1970s, and has worked with legendary artists like Led Zeppelin, Patti Smith, Lou Reed, and more.
