Yesterday, we were saddened by the untimely passing of Yes bassist Chris Squire, who, at the age of 67, succumbed to leukemia. Squire was an underrated musician, as the band is often pigeonholed by their progressive rock sound, but Umphrey’s McGee took a moment to pay tribute to Squire and YES with a thrilling rendition of the band’s classic tune, “Roundabout”.

The show also featured a celebration of crew member Steve Britz’s birthday, with Britz joining the band on percussion for “Front Porch”. Umphrey’s will resume touring this Thursday, July 2nd, at Boulder Theatre in Colorado, before hitting up Red Rocks Amphitheatre on July 3rd.
