Umphrey’s McGee hit the Ravinia Festival last night in Highland Park, IL, bringing a scorcher of a show to their hometown complete with top-notch collaborators and rare covers.

First set was full of jams and heavy hitters before closing with a rare cover of Fleetwood Mac’s “Rhiannon,” with help on vocals from longtime collaborator Michelle Hallman.

Second set saw the band joined on stage by the Chicago Mass Choir towards the end of “Wife Soup.” The magical moment continued wtih a set closer of Talking Heads’ “Once In A Lifetime,” followed by an encore of “No Diablo” and Bill Withers’ “Lean On Me” along with Jennifer Hartswick of Trey Anastasio Band.
