Somehow, despite having released their debut album in 1978, Van Halen had never performed on television with lead singer David Lee Roth. That all changed last night, as the band went on Jimmy Kimmel Live and played two tracks from their Tokyo Dome Live In Concert album, possibly two of their most famous tunes ever – “Panama” and “Runnin’ With The Devil.”

David Lee Roth was a founding member of Van Halen, along with guitarist Eddie Van Halen, drummer Alex Van Halen, and bassist Marc Antony. After creative differences, Roth was replaced by Sammy Hagar in 1986. “Van Hagar” remained vital, off-and-on, until 2005, when Hagar and Antony left the band. Wolfgang Van Halen currently plays bass in the new lineup.

The band actually shut down Hollywood Blvd. in Los Angeles (because LA doesn’t have enough traffic already!) to film these clips. Enjoy!
