Last weekend, Tedeschi Trucks Band played two powerful shows at the University of Buffalo Center For The Arts, bringing a wide selection of classic hits, covers, and new songs from their 2016 album Let Me Get By. The band is on an undeniable hot streak, as the 12-piece has found an unstoppable musical chemistry like never before. It’s truly a treat to witness.

Among the many highlights from the two night run was a sit-in from Amy Helm, a musical powerhouse in her own right and the daughter of the late Levon Helm. Helm’s band, Amy Helm & The Handsome Strangers was on as support for the second night of the run, played last Sunday May 8th, and Helm came out to lend some vocals to the John Prine classic, “Angel From Montgomery.”
