At Sound Summit music festival yesterday in the San Francisco Bay Area, Wilco welcomed a slew of talented guests during their headlining set. At the beginning of the late-afternoon show’s encore, singer-guitarist Jeff Tweedy called guitarist Bill Frisell (who had performed earlier in the day) and his pedal steel-playing bandmate Greg Leisz to the stage to lend a hand on “Hesitating Beauty” and “Christ For President”.

But the surprises didn’t stop there! Local native Bob Weir of The Grateful Dead joined the band onstage next, adding his guitar and voice to the mix as they ran through “California Stars” and, finally, The Beatles‘ “Tomorrow Never Knows”.
