Just days after Bruce Springsteen kicked off his The River tour with a cover of David Bowie’s “Rebel Rebel” [watch that here], the veteran rocker took a moment out of last night’s show in Chicago, IL to pay tribute to another fallen friend: Glenn Frey.

Glenn Frey, Founding Member Of The Eagles, Has Passed Away

Playing at the United Center, Springsteen came out for the encore by himself, playing an acoustic guitar to the tune of “Take It Easy.” The Boss nailed the acoustic tribute to Frey and The Eagles, providing a touching moment of reflection for the fans in attendance.
