The word legend comes to mind when describing either Carlos Santana or Buddy Guy. It’s a fair use of the word for these two musicians, who together have over 100 years experience in the music business. When the two came together last night at The Masonic Temple in San Francisco, CA, the reverence in the room must have been overwhelming.
Santana, a Bay Area native, plugged in and got to work immediately dueling with Guy on guitars. The two traded licks back and forth before cruising into a cover of Junior Wells’ “Little By Little (I’m Losing You).” It’s an awe-inspiring moment of rock and roll.
