Psychedelic champions Claypool Lennon Delirium returned last night, hitting the hamed Voodoo Music + Arts Experience in New Orleans, LA for their first performance since wrapping up a fall tour at the North Coast Music Festival over Labor Day weekend. Though Les Claypool and Sean Lennon did perform at the benefit for John Barlow last week, the duo got the band together for a couple big festival shows this weekend.

Last night the band’s mesmerizing songs were on display, mostly picking from their debut album release The Monolith Of Phobos. They did find time to play a number of covers, including songs by Les Claypool’s Frog Brigade, Pink Floyd, and King Crimson. The band closed out their set with a Beatles classic, written by Sean’s father John Lennon – a song by the name of “Tomorrow Never Knows.” The song is a regular in the band’s repertoire, but hearing it never gets tiring.
