After starting their 25th anniversary tour with a hometown celebration in Charlottesville, VA last month, the Dave Matthews Band brought that same tour back to their home state of Virginia for another classic performance. With home field advantage, it was no surprise that the band called on some guests throughout the night to enhance the musical magic of the show.

The band opened up with “Squirm,” before calling out trumpeter John D’Earth for “Seek Up” in the early part of the show. D’Earth also joined at the end of the set, returning for a “Jimi Thing” that ended in a partial Prince cover, “Sexy M.F.” The band also welcomed back guitarist Joe Lawlor, who had sat in the previous night as well, for a version of “Corn Bread.” With those special highlights and some of the band’s classic jams, the Dave Matthews Band treated fans to a great performance.
