It was only a few months ago that Lettuce was living the good life on the beach of Dominican Holidaze. After getting spoiled oceanside, it’s difficult to imagine the funk powerhouse sounding better anywhere else. (But we know that it’s definitely possible.) There’s something about the palm trees and ocean breeze that leave an inescapable memory stamped like a passport on your soul, and sometimes you just want to flip back through the pages.

When drummer Adam Deitch, bassist Jesus Coomes, guitarists Adam Smirnoff and Eric Krasno, and The Shady Horns’ Ryan Zoidis and Eric Benny Bloom share a stage, the universe hints at the absolute possibility of total perfection. When Nigel Hall joins in, the game is over and the party begins. There’s no messing around when Lettuce is in town.

From their 2015 LP Crush, watch Lettuce perform “Sounds Like A Party” at the Breathless & Now Onyx Resort in Punta Cana, exclusively below, and thanks to TourGigs:

The song, definitive of the band’s undeniable funkitude, is the perfect toast to an exciting night found only in the company of Lettuce family and friends. It’s their straight up infectious, feel-good funk that just make you want to get down.

For fans of Lettuce, you can catch them at the 2nd annual Fool’s Paradise March 31& April 1 in St. Augustine, FL alongside Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, The Floozies, The Motet, a special Manic Science set featuring Manic Focus and Break Science, The Main Squeeze, Organ Freeman, along with Oteil Burbridge and Antwaun Stanley as Artists at Large.
