Last weekend marked the start of The String Cheese Incident’s summer tour, as the group played for three nights at the famed Electric Forest festival. On the second night, the band made it a point to pay tribute to two musicians whose 2016 deaths loom large in our hearts: David Bowie and Prince. Both have incredible musical legacies, and Cheese called on saxophonist Karl Denson to pay tribute.

String Cheese opened up their tribute with a cover of Prince’s “Kiss,” before calling on Denson for a run of songs that included Bowie’s “Let’s Dance,” Prince’s “Let’s Go Crazy,” and Bowie’s “Space Oddity.” Watch and listen along to some of the magic below, courtesy of YouTube user Tom Heinrich.
