There are few places in the world with a musical tradition and culture as rich and historically significant as the city of New Orleans. It is a place that seems to constantly inspire and nurture creativity and artistic expression. Bloody Sunday Sessions is born out of that tradition of creativity and utterly unique musical culture.

Bloody Sunday Sessions is a web-based video series which features one of a kind, live musical performances, performed in the back of an iconic New Orleans’ mule-drawn carriage as it walks its way through the streets of the city. The first such video features The Wood Brothers playing the soulful tune “I Got Loaded”, originally written by Camille Bob in 1965. Watch as they jam their way through Royal Street in the French Quarter.

And the people are loving it!

Sound engineer and producer, Eric Heigle, thought of the idea on his balcony, while living in the oldest apartment building in the United States. Watching the carriages pass by during breaks from a home studio recording session, it seemed only logical to put the two together. Add some bloody mary’s to the mix and the rest is history in the making.

Stay tuned to L4LM for more Bloody Sunday Sessions!
