Phil Lesh made an unexpected appearance at his San Rafael, CA venue Terrapin Crossroads this past Super Bowl Sunday, joining son and guitar player Grahame Lesh, guitar player Scott Law, bassist Brian Rashap, keyboardist Scott Guberman and drummer Danny Luehring for a performance of “Ripple.”
Phil also brought up one of the youngest members of the Lesh clan during the classic Grateful Dead tune, grandson Levon, who was sporting a #18 Peyton Manning, Denver Broncos jersey. Levon makes it through most of the song before his grandmother Jill Lesh is called in for relief. Take a watch at this heartwarming performance below:
