Trey Anastasio performed with the Seattle Orchestra last night at Benaroya Hall as part of his orchestral tour, which kicked off earlier this week in Portland, OR. Trey performed his brand new composition for guitar and orchestra, Petrichor, along with some Phish classics “You Enjoy Myself”, “Divided Sky” and “Stash”. For the encore, Seattle Seahawk fans were treated to a “Wilson” chant, honoring the Superbowl Champions’ quarterback Russell Wilson.

Trey’s orchestral tour continues September 26th at the Hollywood bowl with a special opening set by two other rock musicians dabbling in orchestral music.  Arcade Fire’s Richard Reed Parry and The National’s Bryce Dessner will perform pieces from Parry’s most recent classical release Music For Heart and Breath.
