One of the best parts of Lockn’ Festival is the unplanned collaborations. That’s what happened on Saturday, when, after performing with Grateful Grass earlier in the day, Keller Williams found his way over to the main stage for a guest appearance with Twiddle.
Twiddle had been on a roll for their Saturday afternoon set, opening up with “Polluted Beauty” and treating fans to “Earth Mama” and “Beethoven and Greene.” Once Keller joined the stage, the band burst into a rendition of the uplifting song “Best Feeling.” Originally written by Keller Williams with The String Cheese Incident, the song took on a new life in the middle of Twiddle’s set.

Show Notes: This show was a part of the “Festively Plump” 2016 summer tour. This was the first of two sets Twiddle played at Lockn’ Festival. Twiddle’s set was bumped from 1:30 PM EST to 2:10 PM EST due to a scheduling issue with Brandie Carlisle. Other artists included Galactic with Lee Oskar, Hard Working Americans, Phil Lesh and Friends featuring Jon Fishman, Page McConnell, Anders Osborne, Joe Russo and the Infamous Stringdusters, Tedeschi Trucks Band and was headlined by My Morning Jacket.
[1] “Best Feeling” featured Keller Williams on acoustic guitar and vocals. It also contained a “Smooth Criminal” (Michael Jackson) jam.
[2] During “Jamflowman” Mihali played a D’Angelico Arch Top prototype which was gifted to him by the company in return for feedback.
