Ween Plays Their 1997 Album “The Mollusk” In Full For Oregon Crowd [Videos]

Last night, fans of one-of-a-kind rock outfit Ween were treated to a very special performance at Bend, Oregon’s Les Schwab Amphitheater. The show marked the second night of their summer tour, following a run of spring shows ending in early June. To open the show, the band performed their fan-favorite (and Deaner-favorite) 1997 album The Mollusk in its entirety, breaking out a pair of long-lost tunes in the process. “Cold Blows The Wind” got its first full-Ween treatment since 8/4/03 in Portland, ME and “It’s Gonna Be (Alright)” made its first appearance for the band since 5/17/98 at Denver’s Ogden Theatre.

Once they rounded out The Mollusk‘s track list with “She Wanted To Leave,” Ween continued the party with an extensive selection of gems from the rest of their sizable catalogue, including “Take Me Away,” “Boy’s Club,” “The Grobe,” The Stallion pt. 1,” “Roses Are Free,” “Bananas and Blow,” “Pumpin 4 The Man” (with Dean Ween on vocals) “Sweet Texas Fire,” “The HIV Song,” Buenas Tardes Amigo,” “I’m In The Mood To Move,” “Pork Roll Egg and Cheese,” and more, before wrapping up with an “Even If You Don’t” set closer, forgoing an encore break to play for every minute that the curfew allowed.
