Widespread Panic just finished the fourth and final night of their Mexican excursion festival, Panic En La Playa Cinco. Over four nights, Panic not only welcomed back founding drummer Todd Nance, but celebrated their 30th anniversary with thoroughly jammed out performances. The final night featured mostly Panic originals, including the opening instrumental “A of D” and great tunes like “Pilgrims,” “Steven’s Cat” and more. “Contentment Blues > Love Tractor” closed out the set.

The second set was more of the same rockin’ energy, opening with “Machine > Barstools & Dreamers.” The set featured a “Drums & Bass” section, showcasing Nance and bassist Dave Schools, as well as tracks like “Cease Fire > Rock” and a set-closing “Ain’t Life Grand.”

Before the encore, guitarist John Bell took a moment to pay respect for some fans who tragically lost their lives. “This one goes out to all the people with us, all the people that are not with us, but are still with us.” PanicStream also has featured a small tribute on each of the recent setlists, to the memory of Ed, Matt, Colby, Ross, & Zach. Our hearts go out to all of their loved ones.
