Wilco has done it again. The band has released another entertaining music video, the second animated and the third overall video released for their 2011 album, The Whole Love. They recruited the illustrators from the cartoon Popeye for their last music video “Dawned on Me,” which was unique and really well done. This video for “Sunloathe” tells the story of a handful of different, yet similar well-drawn monsters from different persecuted backgrounds becoming friends as they “learned how to love” each other, as Jeff Tweedy vocalizes in the track. The video was directed by Peter Glantz and illustrated by Nathaniel Murphy from the synth group, Loft, who also subs in as Wilco drummer Glenn Kotche’s technician from time to time.
