With the Dead & Company tour kicking off next week, we wondered how we could make your life just a little more Grateful. Naturally, we assembled some of our favorite musicians as a super group, called Without A Net, for two nights of Grateful Dead sonic exploration on November 6th in Philadelphia and November 7th in New York City.
The band will consist of Todd Stoops (RAQ), Reed Mathis (Billy & The Kids/Tea Leaf Green), Marcus Rezak (Digital Tape Machine/Stratosphere All-Stars), Scotty Zwang (Dopapod), Hayley Jane, and more special guests TBA soon! The shows will be held at the Ardmore Music Hall (11/6) and at BB King’s Club & Grill (11/7), so expect some big time tunes from these great musicians.
Taking their name from the beloved Grateful Dead live album from 1990, the Without A Net band prides themselves on their “sonic exploration” approach to the Dead’s music. This ensemble features some of the musicians who performed at the “Fare Thee Well” pre-party back in July, cooking up some monster jams to get people in the right mood for some Grateful grooving.
Tickets for both of these shows can be found here for 11/6 in Philadelphia and here for 11/7 in New York, though NYC tickets go on sale tomorrow 10/21 at noon. The 11/6 show is not an after party, but the 11/7 one will start immediately after Dead & CO. Regardless, both are guaranteed to be great musical performances, so don’t miss out!
