Break Science began a four-night Colorado run at The Aggie Theatre in Fort Collins on Wednesday night, which witnessed the dynamic duo of Adam Deitch (drums) and Borahm Lee (keys/programming) dropping plenty of those New York hip-hop, electronic-inspired beats for the masses. The group debuted new material from their forthcoming, untitled album, including “Make A Move,” “Crazy Lately” (a track that features ProbCause), and “Android Love.” Each song bore witness to the undeniable synergy that the two musicians share both on the stage and in the studio.
On this night, Break Science brought nothing but heat, delivering a non-stop party front to back, with a cover of Outkast‘s “Ms. Jackson” (Party Pupils/BrkSci live redux version), a tribute to George Michael with “Careless Whisper,” and the bust-out of the night, “Attack of the Breaking Biscuits.” Yes, that [Br]eaking [Bi]scuits….the collaboration between Deitch, Lee, and both Aron Magner and Marc Brownstein of The Disco Biscuits, which occurred back in October at Brooklyn Comes Alive. The unreleased track is produced by Deitch, and features the full quartet. The group also just announced an appearance at this year’s Electric Forest, during weekend one of the event.
Break Science continued their run at Frisco’s Barkley Ballroom last night, and will play Ullrs Tavern in Winter Park tonight (2/17), followed by a performance at The Fox Theatre in Boulder on Saturday night. Deitch and Lee will perform at the second annual Fool’s Paradise in St. Augustine, FL (March 31st – April 1st) as Manic Science with fellow collaborator Manic Focus.
