After opening their run with performances of Workingman’s Dead and American Beauty on night one (full video), Phil Lesh & Friends doubled down for a great second night of the run. Lesh recruited members of the Chris Robinson Brotherhood for the occasion, calling on Chris Robinson, Neal Casal and Adam MacDougall for the show, as well as Tony Leone and Ross James.

The band stuck largely to the Grateful Dead catalog, opening with “Shakedown Street” and jamming on hits like “Deal,” “New Minglewood Blues,” “Mr. Charlie,” “Bertha” and more. They kept up the energy in set two with a big “Playin’ In The Band” opener,” and worked in a monster “Dark Star” to keep the crowd on their toes. Lesh & co. would ultimately close out the night with the Otis Redding classic “Hard To Handle,” a staple of the Grateful Dead and Chris Robinson Brotherhood catalogs.
