Output got dirty this past Friday night as famed producer Eats Everything, notable for a string of releases on highly regarded Dirtybird Records, took the booth at the Brooklyn dance mecca to show off his ‘Edible Movement’.

Opening up the night was a live set from My Favorite Robot, who set up opposite the DJ booth to accomodate the extra equipment and instruments neccessary for the set. The three piece from Canada perform somewhat experimental music – more ‘electronic’ than ‘dance’, experimenting with deeper melodies and a more mellow sound. Based mostly on their latest album, Atomic Age, the felt very experimental, pushing the boundries of club music, adding haunting vocals, and somewhat ambient sound. It was a really interesting and foreward thinking sound.

After a set change, Eats Everything took over and brought the club into full party mode. The familiar pounding bass and catchy, syncopated melodies filled the big room, as the crowd began to pick up the pace and move. It seems like anyone associated with Dirtybird brings out a solid crowd of diehards, and this was no exception. Output was bumping, and the familiar but incredible soundsystem does complete justice to the high quality sound that these artists produce.

New tracks like the Justin Martin co-produced ‘The Gettup’ are making Eats Everything one of the more exciting producers to coming out of the UK right now. Keep an eye out for the producers ‘Edible Movement’, combining all aspects of Eats Everythings’ sound and personality into one, well, movement, that will surely be taking over the States soon.
