Jackie Greene and his band worked the crowd on Friday night at The Egg in Albany, NY with a great set, getting the nearly sold out crowd out of their seats and dancing throughout the aisles. He showed off his impressive skills not only on the guitar, but also on the harmonica and keyboards, while thoroughly showcasing his voice. Throughout the whole evening, Greene was a force to be reckoned with, giving every song as much as energy as he could.

The Dedication And Depth Of Jackie Greene: An Interview

Greene’s band matched his energy and continued to propel the music, providing a lot of space for bandmates to share in the musical landscape and improvise. He proved himself just as comfortable behind the keyboard as he is on the guitar. “Now I Can See for Miles” was a big highlight early on, while a wild set closing “Shakedown Street” into “Another Brick in the Wall” back into “Shakedown Street” sent the crowd into hysterics. For being this early in their tour, Jackie Greene and his band are really in sync and their performances only leave room to build as the tour rolls on. Catch them if you can!

Shakedown Street > Another Brick In The Wall > Shakedown Reprise

Opening the evening was New York City’s own Hollis Brown. While usually playing an electric set with drums, the band opted to play an acoustic set and it was fantastic. Mike Montali’s vocals soared beautifully through The Egg’s walls. The set was short, leaving much of the crowd wanting more. These guys are not to miss if they come through a city near you.
