Widespread Panic brought the heat for two nights at the newly-opened Kings Theatre in Brooklyn, NY last weekend, on April 24th and 25th. The venue, which originally opened in 1929 as a movie theater, had been vacant since 1977, until a massive renovation project transformed the Kings into a state-of-the-art performance center.

The pervasive beauty of the venue was matched by the pervasive intensity of the band’s two performances. Throwing in covers of Sly and the Family Stone and Talking Heads throughout four staggering sets, WSP made it a weekend to remember in NYC.
