Widespread Panic brought the house down this past last Wednesday, March 25th, for the second of their two night stint at the historic Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles, CA. The venue opened in 1926 as a part of a vaudeville circuit, and is located in downtown LA’s Broadway Historic theater district.

The band opened with Warren Zevon’s “Lawyers, Guns and Money” to get the evening started. “Rebirtha” escalated the crowd’s energy, then “Travelin’ Light” seemed like a high point of the first set’s performance.

Panic didn’t hold back for the second set, warming up with “Pigeons” and allowing for some extended jams in “Cease Fire” > “Ribs & Whiskey,” when the southern California crowd got a real taste of southern jam rock. Bassist Dave Schools took a rare vocal lead with Vic Chesnutt’s “Sleeping Man.”

The band wrapped things up with “Contentment Blues” and “Proving Ground” to close things up, making for a great evening of music that did not disappoint! WSP continues their
