Last Tuesday night, April 14th, The Wood Brothers played an intimate show in York, PA, outside Philadelphia. They were funny, personable and rocked through two hours of hits – some off their newest record, The Muse, some old favorites and a few sneak peaks into their next record. The show had a certain romantic ambiance as the Strand Performing Arts Center is a beautiful space with great acoustics.

The band was jovial with the crowd, reminiscing about the last time they’d visited York and sharing stories about the origin of a few popular songs. Their live shows are like wonderfully enhanced versions of their albums. Oliver Wood’s vocals are even more hauntingly beautiful in a venue like the Strand – which he said has become “a palace” since their last visit, referring to the venue’s recent renovations.
