Last year, both Joe Russo’s Almost Dead and Medeski Martin & Wood appeared on the summer lineup for Red Rocks Amphitheatre, supporting Umphrey’s McGee and The Motet, respectively. Today, the two groups have announced plans to join forces, taking the esteemed Morrison, CO venue by storm with a double billing on April 29th, 2017.

The announcement comes by way of Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, who has revealed plans for a four night run that will take them to Colorado and New Orleans this spring. The tour dates include a Red Rocks pre-show on April 28th at Denver’s The Odgen Theatre, as well as two shows at The Joy Theater in New Orleans on May 5th and 6th. Those will be late night performances for the annual New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, aka Jazz Fest.

Joe Russo and co. are coming off an incredible 2016 that saw them dominate at Lockn’ and collaborate with both John Mayer and Bob Weir, offering up a number of top tier tributes to the Grateful Dead. These shows are sure to be a treat, so don’t miss out!
