Die-hard Radiohead fans, listen up: coming this September there will be an auction of an extremely rare 1986 demo-cassette from the band. Paul Fairweather, the auctioneer at Omega Auctions in Stockport told NME that the cassette is being put up for sale:
directly from an old friend of the band who was at school with them at Abingdon School. We have copies of his school yearbook from 85/86 showing him and all four members of the band.
According to NME, the cassette will contain “Fragile Friend,” “Girl (In the Purple Dress),” “Everybody Knows,” “Mountains (on the Move),” “Lemming Trail,” and “Lock the Door,” as well as remixes of “Fragile Friend,” “Lemming Trail,” and “Lock the Door” for a nine-track cassette in total.
The demo will go up for auction on September 14th at 10:30 a.m. and is expected to sell for over £1,000 (or roughly $1500).
