While on their ongoing five-month, national Speed Of Light Tour, Denver’s funky seven-piece The Motet will return to their home city on November 2nd for a one-night-only performance at the Mission Ballroom.

The Motet—comprised of Lyle Divinsky (vocals), Ryan Jalbert (guitar), Garrett Sayers (bass), Joey Porter (keys), Dave Watts (drums), Parris Fleming (trumpet), and Drew Sayers (sax)—have had quite the year since releasing their ninth-studio album, Death or Devotion, and have been touring across the country inserting their high-energy funk at sold-out shows and some of the country’s biggest music festivals including Electric Forest, Bonnaroo, Summer Camp Music Festival, High Sierra Music Festival, Hangtown Music Festival, Suwannee Hulaween, and more. The band also recently announced three new fall dates in November with Star Kitchen, and Jennifer Hartswick & Nick Cassarino Duo.

Since July, the fiery-funk group has been on their 57-date Speed Of Light Tour across the country, so it only makes sense to make a pit stop at their home city’s newest venue , the Mission Ballroom, on November 2nd for a spooky live concert experience deemed, The Motet: Meow At The Moon. Hosted by Meow Wolf, the group will be joined by TAUK and Con Brio for a triple-dose of moon-howlin’ funk.

If you haven’t been yet, the Mission Ballroom is Denver’s newest 60,000-square-foot ballroom located in the city’s RiNo art district. Featuring a moving stage for flexible capacity, localized art, a large dance floor, and an even bigger disco ball, it hosts some of the best live music experiences a fan could ask for. The Motet’s November headlining show will mark the band’s return to Colorado since their three-night run in August in Aspen, Buena Vista, and Durango. Some members of the band made it back to Denver on August 30th for a rendition of Live For Live Music’s Funk Sessions, along with George Porter Jr., Robert Walter, and members of Turkuaz.

The Motet’s return to Denver at the new Mission Ballroom will surely be a funky time you won’t want to miss, as they continue to head out around the country for the rest of the year.
