Umphrey’s McGee has announced their return to Florida’s St. Augustine Amphitheatre (a.k.a. The Amp) on Saturday, August 17th. The band will be joined in support by Magic City Hippies.

Returning exactly one year from their performance last August, the shows comes as part of Umphrey’s McGee’s 2019 summer tour. In addition to Magic City Hippies, Ron Artis II & The Truth, BIG Something, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Doom Flamingo, SunSquabi will also offer support throughout the tour.

Comprised of longtime friends Brendan Bayliss (guitar/vocals), Jake Cinninger (guitar/vocals), Joel Cummins (keys/vocals). Andy Farag (percussion), Kris Myers (drums/vocals), and Ryan Stasik (bass), the band has played over 2,200 shows and released countless studio and live albums.

The band has been busy this past month making the rounds to music festivals like Oregon’s Britt Music & Arts Festival, California’s High Sierra Music Festival, West Virginia’s 4848 Festival, and Scranton, PA’s Camp Bisco. The trip to St. Augustine and its beautiful, intimate amphitheater will offer Florida fans a much more intimate vibe than these huge festival sets.

Joining the progressive rock band and returning to their home state are special guests Magic City Hippies. After starting as a one-man band, Robby Hunter enlisted multi-instrumentalists Pat Howard (drums), and John Coughlin (guitar) to resonate indie-funk throughout world. The band has since played at Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, BottleRock, and The Peach, to name a few.
