After what was an incredible weekend of what we have come to know as pure “Bisco” out in Colorado with three nights at the Ogden Theatre that culminated in a celebration at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, we look ahead to The Disco Biscuits‘ annual summer festival, Camp Bisco. Set to take place July 14th-16th at Montage Mountain in Scranton, PA, this year’s lineup features six sets from the festival’s namesake act, as well as sets from Odesza, Big Grizmatik (Big Gigantic, Griz, and Gramatik), STS9, Griz, Lotus, Anderson .Paak & the Free Nationals, Thundercat, Dopapod, RL Grime, Tom Hamilton’s American Babies, Orchard Lounge, The New Deal, and more, Camp Bisco is bringing a little bit of everything to the table.

Camp Bisco Reveals Stacked Lineup Of Performing Artists

With a major announcement about vast improvements on the festival site, such as round-the-clock shuttle service, advanced receipt of festival wristbands to expedite check-in, increased water station availability, a new Wellness Program – with daily yoga, mountain hikes, a 5K run and workshops – and Clean Vibes on-site to help with waste removal and ensuring a greener event, this is looking to be the best Camp Bisco yet. There are plenty of reasons why you should not miss this year’s festivities, and we are going to take a look at a few of them now:

5. Waterpark Fun

Montage Mountain has an unbelievable water park for all to enjoy. Between the various activities such as the Wavepool, Alpine Run Waterslide Complex, Cross-Country Canal, Tundra Tornado, Iceberg Alley Luge, there is plenty of water-y options to have some fun in the sun outside and keep cool.

4. The Classic Jamtronica Bands

Camp Bisco has always been at the forefront of the jamtronica and electronica scenes, and with STS9, Lotus, Papadosio, The New Deal, GNOME Project, and The Indobox, there will be plenty for old-school Camp Bisco heads to enjoy.

3.  Big Gigantic + Griz + Gramatik = Big GrizMatik

What more needs to be said on this subject? You take three acts that, on their own are huge, and seamlessly coalesce into one….and you get Big Grizmatik. With the amalgamation of hip-hop, funk, electro-soul, and jazz, along with live instrumentation and a full-on audio-visual sensory experience, this set is going to be a major party.

2. Six Sets of The Disco Biscuits

The founders and namesake of Camp Bisco, this festival wouldn’t be possible without the forethought that The Disco Biscuits had back in the late 90’s. The pioneers of trance-fusion carefully curated the lineup with all of the major jamtronica acts mentioned above, and has had some of the biggest international DJ’s and bands play before, or while, they were carving their own paths to superstardom. Think Pretty Lights, Bassnectar, Skrillex, LCD Soundsystem, Wolfgang Gartner, Ween, Thievery Corporation, Shpongle, Emancipator, Snoop Dogg, Nas & Damian ‘Jr. Gong’ Marley, The Roots, and Cut Copy, just to name a few. The Disco Biscuits are Camp Bisco.

Coming off arguably one of the the best multi-night runs in their entire history, out in Colorado at Denver’s Ogden Theatre and Red Rocks Amphitheatre, the Biscuits are poised and ready to bring it for six full sets at Camp. To the Bisco faithful, there is absolutely no place on Planet Earth that we would rather be.

1.  The Vibe

Between the major improvements mentioned earlier, a lineup that has something for everybody, one of the best festival sites in the country in Montage Mountain, and some of the most hardcore, dedicated and faithful fans in the music world, how can you not expect to have a vibe that goes in stride with all of that? Just make sure you bring your ass to the party!
