It’s no secret that the seventh incarnation of AURA, a long-time favorite of Florida’s festival family, kicks off on Thursday. This year, Bells and Robes and MZG are releasing fresh new remixes of festival favorites, The Heavy Pets, just in time for some late-night sets.

Bells and Robes and MZG will play two new remixes live at the Spirit of the Suwannee’s AURA Music & Arts Festival in Live Oak, Florida. From March 3-5, the park will fill with headliners such as Thievery Corporation, Snarky Puppy, The New Deal, Particle, The Werks and many more.

The remixed tracks come off the Heavy Pets’ self-produced 2013 EP Two Horses, a long-awaited follow-up to the band’s 2011 eponymous album, The Heavy Pets.

Bells and Robes crafted a sensual version of The Heavy Pets’ lo-fi rock track “Last Babies,” transforming the Pets’ vocals and layering them with soft explosions and subtle eastern-style vibrations. The “Last Babies” remix fits perfectly in Bells and Robes repertoire, a deep collection favored for its ability to slide listeners into a euphoric dance-fueled vortex. Catch them at the Silent Disco on Thursday, March 3rd at 3:00 a.m.

And that’s not all. MZG remixed the Pets’ “Keep Me Running,” a spacey jam rooted in groovy riffs. MZG’s remixed track swaps a stream of blanketed reverberations with bursts of movement-inducing modern funk. MZG, who will make another Suwannee appearance at Purple Hatters Ball, plays the silent disco on Friday, March 4th at 4:00 a.m.

All three acts will showcase their sounds this weekend against a backdrop of towering oak trees and dangling Spanish moss, with The Heavy Pets taking on the beloved Sunday cover show. This year’s cover set, a tribute to the ‘80’s with special guests Jennifer Hartswick and Natalie Cressman, backtracks four decades at 5:45 p.m. on the Amphitheater Stage.

General admission and VIP tickets are still available online. Be sure to check out AURA’s VIP glamping package, a new addition that allows attendees to camp out in style.
