FARM Fest is the smallest gathering on the list, but it might not be that way for too long. Beginning only two years ago, this festival’s organizers have seriously stepped their game up this year bringing in acts like Papadosio, EOTO, Phuture Primitive, Random Rab, BlueTech,  Cosby Sweater,  and SPACE JESUS.  Considering that it only had about ten relatively unknown artists on its lineup when it began in 2012, that’s pretty impressive.

FARM Fest looks to be a great festival for people who prefer smaller settings to the massive grounds of places like Bonarroo and EDC. Smaller festivals like this one generally emanate a comforting family vibe, and never one never gets the overwhelming feelings that are possible at some of these larger events. EDM and jamtronic fans in the New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania areas should certainly check this one out. At the rate its growing, it might not be a small family festival for many more years.

UPDATE: Farm Fest has added Vermont jammers Twiddle to their 2014 lineup! For those unaware, Twiddle has recently carved a name for themselves in the jam band scene, bringing the cosmic flow to each and every show. These up and comers have a big 2014 ahead of them, bringing their reggae-funk improvisational music to several festivals and headlining performances around the country. Check out a full-length video of a Twiddle performance from last December below!

Only coming up on its third year of existence, Farm Fest in Vernon, NJ has been growing at a steady rate, while still keeping that small and intimate vibe that so many festival-goers seek. Melding the Electronic and Jam music worlds so effortlessly, Farm Fest has quickly become a sought-after spot for many bands that tow the line between both musical genres. Held on an beautiful expanse of land at Rickey Farm in Vernon, NJ from July 24th-26th, Farm Fest is bringing its best lineup to date with sets from major players Papadosio, EOTO, Phutureprimitive, Random Rab, Bluetech, Govinda, and more.

Supporting the main acts will be Andrelien (formerly Heyoka), Gladkill, BUKU, Cosby Sweater, Nadis Warriors, Space Jesus, Skytree, and plenty of other performances from up and coming acts that will be on your radar after Farm Fest. And the Phase 2 announcement is still to come next week! There will be plenty of space to enjoy a multitude of activities from yoga, frisbee, live painting, fire dancing, hula hooping, an incredible campfire that is setup by the festival with music, and much more.

Oh, and did we mention that Farm Fest currently has a petition going to bring Bill Nye the Science Guy to the festival to speak about the environment and ways we can go about lending a hand in creating an environmentally sustainable future? Yes, and here is the link to the petition. SIGN IT NOW!!! Who wouldn’t want to listen to Bill Nye give a speech at a music festival you are attending?

Farm Fest also has a contest for bands and producers that would like to make it to the stage at this year’s festivities. Voting for the contest begins on May 19th and ends July 18th, with winners being announced on July 21st. If you are interested, or know of any acts that fit the bill, submit entries and vote at this link.

Tickets for Farm Fest are still at Tier 2 prices, which are at a ridiculous low cost of $90 for the entire festival. Purchase tickets here! And don’t forget to get a parking pass as well.
