On Friday night, John Mayer took to Camden, New Jersey, for a performance at BB&T Pavilion. Mayer is currently continuing his The Search For Everything World Tour in promotion of his similarly titled and recently released solo album after taking a break to go on tour with Dead & Company this summer. Similar to when Mayer toured earlier in the year for his solo tour, his performance in Camden was broken up into distinct segments featuring a full band, his trio, and an acoustic portion.

After an incredibly successful tour with Dead & Co this summer, Mayer appropriately included a “Scarlet Begonias” interlude during the second song of the evening, “Queen of California.” The rest of the set was standard to previous setlists, with songs spreading across his pop/rock career. A cover of Tom Petty‘s “Free Fallin'” appeared in the acoustic portion, with Robert Johnson and Ray Charles covers during the trio’s performance. The encore included Mayer’s favorited “Gravity,” which featured a Motley Crue tease of “Home Sweet Home.”

Mayer continues on to the XFINITY Theatre in Hartford, Connecticut tonight. Visit his website for a full list of upcoming tour dates.
