Emerging from the prolific Austin, TX scene, The Nadis Warriors adeptly fuse computer technology with live instrumentation with every monumental jam. Founded by two grade school companions, Matt Cain and Jared Ingebretson, the music is part electronic, part live, and always a great time.

Having performed at festivals like Catskill Chill, Camp Bisco, Wakarusa, Electric Daisy Carnival and more, not to mention sharing the stage with acts like Kung Fu, Lotus, Bassnectar, EOTO, Papadosio and more, it’s clear that Nadis is a band on the rise. Their dynamic music is a creative force beyond reckoning, and we’re beyond excited to share their music.

With a new EP, Futurology, due out soon, the band has shared their first single from the new release, exclusively on L4LM. Stream “Turing Test 1,” below:

We spoke to the band about the album, and they said:

Technology has been growing at an exponential rate and is constantly further integrating with human existence. The way we learn, interact, create, consume, sustain, and ultimately perceive is a direct result of the rapid integration of technology. It affects almost every aspect of how we live our daily lives. Music is no exception. As computers become smaller, more powerful, and more affordable we have seen the way we create, record, and perform music change drastically. Technology has also changed the way music is distributed and has put the power back in the hands of the artist. We live in an exciting time where the world is changing at an exponential rate that allows one to physically witness, and take part in, the electronic revolution. The “Futurology” Volumes speak to this unique time period of human history and it’s the musical evolution of the two EPs mimic what is happening in real time. Futurology, or the study of the future, uses the past and present to make predictions about what is to come.

This Futurology EP is the product of an appreciation for the past, and the excitement for future. Sonically, the album is a melting pot of futuristic sounds, while paying homage to some of Nadis’ influences and favorite genres. This release continues the Nadis tradition of using 50+ year-old technologies, such as electric guitars, keyboards, traditional percussion instruments, etc., and mixing that with available computer technologies to create a sound that is uniquely their own but still familiar.

The whole album is some seriously fantastic music, and we can’t wait to hear what Futurology Pt. 2 may bring! Until then, be sure to check the band out on their official website, and catch them on the road via the tour dates below!
