Since 2013, LOCKN’ has provided live music fans with one-of-a-kind festival experiences. From rare and exciting collaborations to the festival’s famous rotating stage, the Arrington, VA event goes above and beyond to create magical moments for attendees. However, the magic of LOCKN’ will extend far beyond the main concert field when the it returns to Infinity Downs Farm on August 22nd–25th, 2019.
Located in the Love Triangle, the area surrounding LOCKN’s famous “LOVE” sign, Piano on the Porch sessions are an intimate chance for fans to get up-close-and-personal to their favorite artists. Grab a coffee and some breakfast, sit back and relax, and watch the magic unfold!

On Friday morning, psychedelic folk masters Jason Crosby and Roger McNamee of Doobie Decibel System (performing as the Doobie Decibel Duo) will hit the Porch Stage. On Saturday, organ master Cory Henry—the Chief Apostle himself—will serenade early risers from the Porch. On Sunday, Vulfpeck crooner and multi-instrumentalist Joey Dosik will handle morning musical duties on the Porch stage.

Waking up to these intimate performances (starting at 10:30 a.m. each morning) in the beautiful natural surroundings of the Blue Ridge Mountains is a music lover’s dream. A new addition to the festival in 2018, it didn’t take long for the morning Piano on the Porch sessions to produce some memorable highlights. One particularly amazing Piano on The Porch set took place last year when the late Kofi Burbridge overheard a vendor whistling a tune from her vendor booth and brought her on stage to join in for a song. Watch that memorable collaboration below:

If you’re looking for a jam to jump into yourself, you can get PICKN’ with guitar master Jay Starling. These open mic sessions will take place in Garcia’s Forest from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Starling, other LOCKN’ artists, and the general audience members will share in song, taking turns leading and simply have fun making music.
