The third annual Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival returned to it’s original grounds in Florida’s beautiful Sunshine Grove last weekend. The multi-genre event celebrated diverse music, good weather, and community across 600 acres of pristine grasslands, clear lakes, and exotic tropical woodlands. In addition to the immersive festival experience, which gave attendees the opportunity to participate in wild art, swimming, yoga, meditation, workshops, and more, the event featured headlining performances from Arcade Fire, two sets by BassnectarHalsey, and Travis Scott.

The Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival also saw exciting sets from Leon Bridges, The Flaming Lips, Tipper, Big Gigantic, STS9, Gramatik, Thievery Corporation, Tycho, Lettuce, Twiddle, Turkuaz, Khalid, Sylvan Esso, Local Natives, Lil Dicky, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, The Funky Meters, and many many more.

Keeping up its tradition of bringing together unlikely artists for a dance party celebration, the Okeechobee PoWoW! culminated on Saturday night with hip-hop legend Snoop Dogg, backed by legendary hip-hop act and official house band for The Tonight Show The Roots. Representing other genres, the Queen of Funk herself, Chaka Khan, also appeared, along with talented jazz organist and pianist Cory Henry (Snarky Puppy), high-energy New Orleans horn player Trombone Shorty, and Big Gigantic producer and saxophonist Dominic Lalli.
