It’s the most wonderful time of the world for musicians in New Orleans, LA. The same can be said for their fans, who are typically treated to a variety of billings, shows, and venues throughout the buzzing city during Jazz Fest. Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe brought their Prince tribute to the Howlin’ Wolf two nights ago, and last night they tore down the walls of the legendary Tipitina’s. It’s impossible to stop by New Orleans for just one day!

The Tipitina’s performance returned to original KDTU songs, satisfying the souls of all those in attendance of the sold-out 2AM show. In case they missed it the night before, fans were also treated to a few Prince covers, “Uptown,” “Do It All Night,” “When Doves Cry,” and “Purple Rain.” A funky rendition of David Bowie‘s “Young Americans” also got the crowd hyped on the mutual energy of the late night concert-goers.

Once again, the evening came to a close when the birds began to chirp. Another late night Jazz Fest show for the books, with so much more to come.
