moe. and Turkuaz closed out their two night Jazz Fest team-up with an incredible mix of their finest tunes and classic covers for the joyful audience packing New Orleans’ Civic Theatre. After their impressive first night, fans were openly wondering how the two bands planned on topping their first installment. Luckily for them, both acts had plenty of tricks left up their sleeves, including an extra special appearance by punk rock percussion madman Mike Dillon! Our own Rex Thomson, the current “Mayor of moe.down” was on hand and has goodies from both sets including videos of their exceptional covers of Pink Floyd and Paul Simon. Thomson also captured an “all hands on deck” take on the moe. classic “Recreation Chemistry” that features a xylophone duel between Dillon and Jim Loughlin that has to be seen to be believed! Check out the jamming goodness from both bands below.
