My Morning Jacket treated Atlanta’s Fox Theatre for a two night run on August 7th and 8th, filling the historic venue with countless fantastic musical moments. MMJ is on fire, playing spectacular performances with high energy night after night.

Opening the first show with “Tonight I Want to Celebrate” and segueing almost immediately into “Off the Record”, Jim James and company drew the crowd’s attention with ferocious tenacity. More highlights from night one included breathtaking renditions of “O is the One”, “Believe”, and “Easy Morning Rebel”. The encore was particularly noteworthy, with a special “Touch Me I’m Going to Scream Pt. 1” and “Pt.2” immediately followed by a killer “Cobra” and a hard, groovy “Highly Suspicious”.

Night two gave chills from the get-go with James’ vocals echoing through the walls on “Victory Dance”, and the “Evil Urges” to follow kept the impressive performance rolling. The “Steam Engine > Only Memories Remain > Steam Engine” was easily one of the highlights of the whole weekend. With “Dancefloors” finishing up the set on a high note, the band’s five-song encore was nothing short of incredible.

MMJ is playing at the top of their game, with two nights of incredible music. Don’t miss this band when they come to town!
