Tedeschi Trucks Band, Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings, and Doyle Bramhall II are currently in the midst of their exciting “Wheels Of Soul” tour, hitting The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, CA earlier this week (June 10th). Whoever conceived this idea deserves a lot of credit, because each band simply and beautifully complimented the next. While Bramhall got things started, Sharon Jones moved the crowd with her triumph over cancer, ultimately reshaping the meaning of her song “Get Up, Get Out.” She led a version of “This Land Is Your Land” and called it a set.

Tedeschi Trucks came up next, touring on the heels of their 2013 release Made Up Mind. Between original tunes and choice covers, including The Beatles’ “I’ve Got A Feelin” and the blues standard “Key To The Highway,” TTB continually raised the energy level for a jaw-dropping performance. They were joined by Bramhall, and later by Jones as well, before bringing their set to a close with “The Storm,” and encoring with their soulful track, “Bound For Glory.”
