Watch The String Cheese Incident Turn On Their Lovelight At Hulaween

The String Cheese Incident pulled out all the stops for their Saturday headlining performances at the 2017 Suwannee Hulaween. The two afternoon sets, which featured special guest sit-ins from steel guitarist Roosevelt Collier and saxophonist Kamasi Washington during the later set, were packed full of cheese classics and fierce jams. Later in the evening, the massively anticipated “Night Of The Loving Dead Shabang” costumed extravaganza won over the Spirit of Suwannee Music Park, as love-themed covers and guest collaborators took over the main stage.

The “Night of the Loving Dead” set featured covers of The Ohio Players, Stevie Wonder, Al Green, Jackie Wilson, Beck, Huey Lewis & The News, Sting, Bob Marley, Bobby Blue Band, Lenny Kravitz, SUBLIME, Beyoncé, Black Eyed Peas, Led Zeppelin, and The Beatles, with musical collaborations with vocalists Rhonda Thomas and Tony White, and the Mofro Horns.

Yesterday, Live For Live Music shared several videos from the Love set, and today we continue with the release of another all-time favorite, “Turn On Your Love Light”. While Bobby Blue Bland may have originated it, The Grateful Dead were the ones who make “Turn On Your Lovelight” an emotional touchstone for so many fans of the genre. As such, simply firing up the song raises spirits among scene veterans and plain old folks who enjoy a good, uptempo horn tune. Watch them wind up the crowd and see them go below:
