Progressive bluegrass favorites The Infamous Stringdusters are heading to Denver, CO’s Mission Ballroom on Friday, November 12th with support from their Americana Vibes label-mates, The Sweet Lillies.

The Stringdusters’ return to the Mission Ballroom will be significant for both the band and the Denver audience, as the band’s last appearance at the state-of-the-art venue came back in January 2020, shortly before the pandemic derailed virtually all remaining 2020 touring plans.

While shows were put on hold, Andy Falco (guitar), Chris Pandolfi (banjo), Andy Hall (dobro), Jeremy Garrett (fiddle), and Travis Book (double bass) kept busy throughout 2020. In addition to various solo projects and socially distant shows, the group used the time to remotely craft a new studio album that serves as an homage to Bill Monroe, the “Father of Bluegrass”(A Tribute to Bill Monroe), compile a holiday album (Dust the Halls: An Acoustic Christmas Holiday!), and more.

As Andy Falco explained, “Once we realized that we were going to be grounded for a good while, we found the best way for us to stay connected musically (as a band spread out around the country) would be to record remotely, each guy from his own home studio. The silver lining of it was recording albums we always talked about but didn’t have the time to actually do because of our busy touring schedule. The most important thing is for the art to continue, and we were very happy to be able to still create despite our different geographical locations.”

The International Bluegrass Music Association also recently announced that The Infamous Stringdusters will host the 32nd annual Bluegrass Music Awards on September 30, in between festival appearances at Borderland Music Festival in East Aurora, NY and Hillberry Music Festival in Eureka Springs, AR.

The November 12th Stringdusters show at the Mission Ballroom in Denver will kick off a run of shows in the region throughout the ensuing week. “The Mountain West fans are always at peak energy,” said Travis Book of the forthcoming tour. “We’re stoked to get down with our High-Country family; there’s no better place to ‘get Dusted’ as our fans say!”
