Adding another chapter to their stellar run across the country, The Claypool Lennon Delirium shattered already weakened minds on the last day of Suwannee Hulaween. Closing out the spectacular run of bands on the Spirit Of The Suwannee‘s beloved Amphitheater, the newly formed pairing of the legendary Primus bassist Les Claypool and the scion of music royalty, Sean Lennon, melted minds with a ninety minute set of deep, dark psychedelia. Having forged their sounds in the studio and expanded it on a series of dates across the country, the band has truly become a force far beyond the sum of their already powerful parts.

Our own Rex Thomson was on hand to film their closing double feature that explored the respective stars’ pasts. “Southbound Pachyderm,” one of Primus’ most expansive and adventurous tunes was paired with a rendition of The Beatles classic “Tomorrow Never Knows” that sent chills down the spines of those in attendance with it’s power and obvious vocal similarities passed on from father to son. Check out the almost twenty minutes of mayhem below!
