Leftover Salmon welcomed fans to their “30 Years Under The Big Top” New Year’s Eve blowout at Denver, CO’s Mission Ballroom on Tuesday night. Special guests Karl Denison’s Tiny Universe, Lindsay Lou, and Mac Sabbath also joined in on the celebration.

This was no ordinary New Year’s Eve concert, however. The night also marked the 30th anniversary of Leftover Salmon’s first show on December 31st, 1989. While the night’s overall theme was that of a circus, founding member Vince Herman assured Live For Live Music in a recent interview that “there will be no scary clowns.” Instead, they treated fans to a jamgrass-inspired circus of music from a career spanning three decades. A career that also helped spawn the Colorado bluegrass scene fans enjoy today.
