Michael Franti & Spearhead stopped by Grand Rapids, MI’s Frederik Meijer Gardens Amphitheater on Thursday evening for an evening of reggae music and sunny vibes with support from Tropidelic. The stop in Grand Rapids came as Franti and his longtime backing band continue to tour in support of their latest album, Follow Your Heart, released in early June.

From inviting young fans onto the stage to sing with him to venturing into the audience to mingle, dance, sing along, and take photos with him, Franti made full use of the venue’s intimate, accessible setup to bring his patented brand of musical positivity to the Grand Rapids audience.
