On Friday and Saturday night, Papadosio and Aqueous hosted back-to-back blowouts at Brooklyn Bowl as part of their ongoing extended run of early 2018 tour dates together. Both bands put on top-notch shows for packed-out crowds on each night, a trend that continues to pick up steam as their joint run has gotten moving. Below, you can check out a rundown of Aqueous and Papadosio’s Friday and Saturday sets including setlists, video, and photo galleries via Capacity Images (Friday) and Andrew Scott Blackstein (Saturday):

Aqueous kicked off each night with stellar opening performances. Friday’s set opened with a hot take on “Random Company” from their 2016 EP, Best In Show, featuring teases of MGMT‘s “Time To Pretend”. From there, the band rocked another top-notch song of newer vintage, “Second Sight”, a staple in their setlists since the song’s debut in February of 2017. The biggest surprise of the set came next, as the band debuted a cover of David Bowie‘s “Man Who Sold The World”, before finishing out with the old-school “Aldehyde” into “Weight of the Word”, one of the newest songs in their arsenal. Aqueous continued to showcase their power-packed groove-rock chops with Saturday night’s opening set, as they worked in a version of Gorillaz‘ “Empire Ants”, which they debuted during their Gorillaz-themed New Year’s Eve show this past year. That segued into tried-and-true set closer “Kitty Chaser (Explosions)” to end their Brooklyn Bowl stint on a high note. Papadosio also turned in great performances on both Friday and Saturday evening, serving up two sets per night and entrancing the crowded venue with their incredible stage production. The Asheville-based space rockers’ set featured a series of “picture frame”-style LED panels which their lighting designer used to incredible effect, taking the audience on a visual odyssey to match the mystical quality of the music.
