Late on Monday night, ultra-talented funk fusion outfit Ghost-Note welcomed the final day of the decade with a guest-filled dance party centered around the music of Prince at New York’s Sony Hall. While The Purple One’s catalog has been the focus of many a tribute show, drummer Robert Sput Searight delighted in pulling out the lesser-known but dearly beloved “b-list” and “c-list” deep cuts for this after-hours get-down.

While Ghost-Note is already a world-class battalion of musicians in their own right, the band welcomed a number of stellar guests to help bring the music of Prince to life including guitarists/vocalists Brandon “Taz” Niederauer and Louis Cato, trumpeter Jennifer Hartswick, and a magnetic crew of powerhouse singers including Ahrel Lumzy and Rojo “REDD” Lavoe (D’Angelo and the Vanguard), STOUT (Childish Gambino/The Funk Apostles), J Hoard, Chris Rob, and more.
