The Spirit of the Suwanee Music Park has become a special place for Umphrey’s McGee. Over the years, the progressive jam masters have performed at many of the park’s events multiple times, including Bear Creek, Wanee, and Suwanee Hulaween. The band seems to love playing in Live Oak, Florida, and they continue to offer up memorable performances each time they are on the hallowed Suwanee grounds.

At this year’s Hulaween, Umphrey’s was tapped to headline the Thursday night pre-party. The group did not disappoint, as their two-set performance ended up ranking as one of their best shows of the year because of their aggressive and precise improvisation. Umphrey’s filled their setlist with filled with fan-favorites like “Wappy Sprayberry” and “Dump City”; classic songs like “All in Time”, “40’s Theme”, and “The Triple Wide”; and a spot-on cover of “Shine On You Crazy Diamond” by Pink Floyd, which rivaled any version they’ve ever played. It was a true master-class.

Thankfully, when the band rolls through Florida, there’s a good chance that super fan The Sober Goat is in attendance and recorded the show. Well, the G.O.A.T. himself was in fact at Hulaween, and he just posted a video capturing the entirety of both of Umphrey’s McGee’s sets at Hulaween (minus a few minutes at the beginning of set two, because a guy has gotta enjoy some Joe Russo’s Almost Dead too, am I right?) over on his blog. You can also enjoy both sets of Umphrey’s McGee at Hulaween below!
